What’s the most exciting aspect of your new role as chief client officer?
Innovation and transformation have always excited me. I’ve been fortunate to get opportunities over the years where I helped teams pivot successfully. As our industry continues to evolve on the media, commerce, and data sides, I feel excited about being part of a highly talented team that will define the next chapter at Orion.

In speaking with teams across the globe, it’s become clear to me that the Orion model is unique and capable of capitalizing on the industry-wide changes happening today. I’m also excited to learn the nuances of the Orion business across all the regions.

Tell us: What’s some of your best advice on building genuine relationships — especially with clients?
Personally, I value people and relationships over other aspects of my work. It’s the most critical component of how I operate, and I truly believe it’s the most distinct competitive advantage for continued success. Solid relationships are built on mutual trust which takes time to form.

Be genuine in your interactions. No one is perfect, mistakes are bound to happen — and clients are aware of this. In my experience, clients are not looking for perfect human beings. They’re looking for partners who they can trust and who they know will give their best in times of crisis. Most importantly, have a good heart. It will come across.

What motivates you — personally and professionally?
Opportunities to learn new things. I’m always learning and trying to adapt. It keeps things interesting. Finding opportunities where I can learn something new, learning from people with diverse skills, watching them operate, and understanding their thought process keeps me going. As I learn, I also keep applying my learnings in new settings and continue to experiment. It helps me push the boundaries. I take the same approach in my personal life as well. This year, I’m going to learn how to ski (fingers crossed).

What’s your best tip for maximizing time?
I’m a big believer in the 80:20 rule. Plan for 80% and then quickly move to action. Fail fast and move on to the next thing without wasting time overthinking or overengineering.

How do you disconnect and relax?
Friday movie (I love animation) and pizza night with my wife and two kids, plus golf on the weekends.
